| Erm - what exactly is Online
50? |
| Online 50 is a different, exciting and flexible
way to use Sage Line 50 book-keeping software.
You don’t actually have to buy the accounting
software – you rent it from us. The software
is located on a remote server, which means
that you and your colleagues (and Condies)
can simultaneously access and update your
accounts from any place anywhere in the world
(providing there’s internet access) and
at any time. For example, imagine you’re
in Oz (nice!) drumming up new business and
you have to pass on accounts data to your
board so they can make a crucial decision.
You can all log on and do this in real time. |
| You’ll probably have worked out by
now that Online 50 is particularly useful
for multi-site businesses and international
companies that need to monitor their subsidiaries,
as well as for people who work from home or
travel about. |

| How much does it cost? |

We charge an initial set up fee, and thereafter
a fixed monthly charge - amounts yet to be confirmed.

not true. There’s nothing worse than
having to deal with a software problem, then
wait on the phone for hours in a helpdesk
queue, only to speak to someone who doesn’t
have a clue about you, your business, your

a problem, phone or e-mail us, and we’ll
whizz to your rescue! We can log on and look
at the problem with you - almost as if we
were there beside you. |

| Software and hardware |
| Because you don’t actually buy the
software, you don’t have to deal with
the hassle of installing it, or getting over
all those initial, irritating teething problems.
Also, you don’t have to worry about upgrades.
And while it’s always recommended that
you backup your data, we take care of offsite
backups, and have established disaster recovery
procedures. So if the worst should happen,
we’ll make sure the worst doesn’t
happen. |

- just a pc with a recent version of Internet

| Depending on where you are in your business,
you might want to outsource some or even all
of your book-keeping to us. We can do everything
from a basic book-keeping service to management
accounts and reports, and from payroll and
VAT returns to credit control. We can access
your accounts at any time to check your postings
and to spot errors while they’re still

| Online 50 uses 128-bit encryption, which just
means that your accounting data is safe and secure
with us. The security is pretty much the same as
that used for internet banking. |

the same set of accounts at the same time, no two
users can change the same record at the same time. |

already accessing your accounts, you can carry on
